As Cooking to a Chef...
When the making process is not known, abuse is likely or maybe inevitable.
Is it okay to say “Happy New Month“? Well, “Two-Happy New Months“ to you.
A popular quote by Myles Munroe: “When Purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable”. I’d also say that “when the making process is not known, abuse is likely or maybe inevitable”. Before I continue, please share…😌
You must have heard the analogy of Gold through the furnace of fire and its making into a finished product in explaining how the tough processes make valuable products. This value is not innate with the Gold, but it’s due to the value we have attached to it based on the materials, time, skill, and energy put into finding and refining it.
Apart from Gold making, one simpler but relatable activity for me is cooking, when I was younger I wondered why it was a big deal to the cook when a meal was wasted, or how disappointed the one who worked for the money with which it was made was. I began to understand better when I began to assist with cooking. Now, I enjoy cooking but I still admit that the slicing of onions and peeling of Potatoes won’t exactly be understood by the guest who sits to get nicely fried chips and sauce on his plate.
I remember making a Chef-Waiter Analogy to my friend recently, how the Chef is not seen as much as the Waiter, the Waiter gets the tips from Customers after having a good Meal. That’s by the way.
The Process is the compilation of time, and effort that brings out the desired product or change. In a world where we are driven mostly by instant gratification, the process is too long a route. But remember, the product often lasts longer in the hands of him who was part of its process.
The process doesn’t just make the product, it builds us a system, makes us, and prepares us to handle and sustain it. Then our perspective of value towards the product shifts. Stay with the process and let it shape your value for all forms of Product in your life. The Process of creating a piece of art, building a tech product, bagging a degree, building a skill, and even overcoming Habits.
When you are part of a process, you’ll place more value on the Product.

Hi Chef Jed🌚🌚
Most times we ignore the process and place more publicity on the product. When in fact, the process is the whole reason the product is what it is. Thank you so much my girllll. And thank you for the shout-out 😌🤭
"The process doesn’t just make the product, it builds us a system, makes us, and prepares us to handle and sustain it."
Thank you for sharing this, Celestina. I've learnt something new today 😌.
